Practical abrasive caps for hollow parts.
The abrasive caps consist of: canvas and an abrasive ceramics or corundum.
Their small diameters, from 5 to 16mm, allow access to the difficult areas and above all to be operational end for sanding or polishing mechanical parts hollow high technology.
Abrasive caps for working all materials.
The caps of red colour series SKWR and SKWK with coating ceramic abrasive are self-sharpening and designed for hardest materials, includingstainless steel, with exceptionally long service life.
The caps of green colour of the series SKS are coated with a normal corundum abrasive with a layer of active abrasive surface which further improves material removal.
SKS caps are perfectly suited for working corrosion- and heat-resistant steels as well as universal machining of plastics, non-ferrous metals and many other materials.
Appropriate rubber supports.
Abrasive caps may not be used without their suitable rubber supports.
Mounted on 3 or 6mm stem, these supports perfectly maintain the caps thanks to their expansion due to rotation when the training machine is in operation.
Of course, it is imperative to use the media of a adapted diameter to the hoods.
How to use abrasive caps?
The caps are used with straight grinders or polishing machines electric or pneumatic with mandrel (or pliers) on flexible. 3 or 6mm clamps allow mounting all types of media and thus caps to perform material removal (large grains) or polishing (fine grains) work on parts containing access difficulties and hollow machining as injection moulds or stamping matrices.

The shapes of the caps, always used with their respective media, may be as diverse as the parts to be reached: cylindrical to flat tip, cylindrical to round tip, cylindrical to conical tipThese cap shapes allow to reach all places for a precision polishing. With a choice of diameters from 5 to 16 mm and a particle size from P80 to P320, the caps allow to process practically all mechanical parts, even very technical. Like rings, caps are usually intended for use with straight or flexible grinding machines with a speed of up to 57,000 turns per minute. The supports are made in grooved rubber, which ensures a safe and secure hold of the cap.
